3/2/11

Yepp the day after my birthday! you may be wondering why I am not blogging about my birthday but right now it feels like a million years ago.

As many of you may know my dad is ill at the moment with terminal liver cancer and you will also know that he was taken into hospital in the date of the title... As the story was quite interesting and something I'm sure I will remember for the rest of my life and the fact about how lovely people where after it I thought I would share that story with the rest of the world...

It started at around 3:00 in the morning, I woke up to the sound of a car outside and bright lights visible through my window, on getting out of bed and seeing an ambulance I collapsed back into bed, my heart racing and my first thought was 'I dont want to go downstairs, but I probably should, shit! I'll just call Tom' And so that is what I did (poor thing) I then heard someone creeping about on the landing of 'the kids floor' so I knew one of my brothers was up and asked him what was happening, he told me there was something wrong with dad. So I ran downstairs and my dad was lying on the bed incoherent and generally not in a good state so i held his hand and sang some his favourite verses' to him such a 'tiddely widdely wanky woo' and other such nonsense, I then placed the slippers that Tom had bought him on his feet and he was carried downstairs and Dragan and Mum went with him, leaving me and Ivan shocked, adrenaline-filled and so I rang my sister Polly up who immediately jumped out of bed and drove home (from plymouth) and so whilst waiting for her Ivan and I watched 'How to train a dragan' and drank Coffee and hot squash and waited for news... But I was wrestless so I rang my friend Lucy burridge and she told me her mum was working at the hospital at A&E so I would see her and things which was lovely!
Polly eventually came and we drove straight up... Ivan and I doing Shrek impressions in the car... and we rushed in to find dad in not a good state, we waited round and played the word association game and other such things till we eventually got told that we had to leave... Dad wasn't responding however when we where saying to him that we had to go and that we loved him he replied with 'yeah I know' which we found funny and he apologised for yesturday when I went to visit him.
On the way home (6:30) we all went to McDonalds for breakfast, it was oddly nice spending time with my siblings even though we where having a pretty shit time, and then went home and got ready for school!

And this is where the lovely part starts everyone was just soo supportive and amazing! Tom paid a silly amount of money to come home early and look after me, all the 6th form where supportive and all the family was round...

My dad is a lot better now, he basically is being his silly self! he was really touched by this card that Alice  Mudd drew and the 6th Form signed!

I had a lovely birthday party and the rest of the weekend was amazing... but more about that later!
